I entered my estimated state tax payment in my federal return. Turbo tax is not pulling it to my state return for purposes of calculating my under payment. How fix?

The state tax due considers my estimated payment and is correct.  But, when the program is calculating my supposed state underpayment and assessing a state penalty, it does not include my estimated payment.  I cannot figure out how to fix it.  I have logged out and logged back in and that did not do it.  Please help.

THEN after you finish filling out the estimates under Federal you need to click on the State Tab at the top and start the state return over for it to update.

You have to pick the right state from the drop down box and enter the right payment dates. Every time I've seen this question the user didn't pick the right state.

Thank you very much for your message.  I have clicked "start over" for my state taxes and it just keeps saying that I already started my state return and directing me to it.  I am using the right state.  Any other ideas?  Thanks again.

Oh I'm sorry I thought the estimates weren't showing up on your state return.   Not sure how to get them in the penalty. Go through the state tab near the end under Other Tax Situations and look for it there.  What state?  I have California and can check them.
