I entered a ton of information yesterday and it did not save everything. I'm being asked to reinput. Only random pieces are saved from yesterday. I had completed state and federal while waiting on an additional form. Frustrating!

If you are using TurboTax Online, the program will save your information every time you continue to the next screen. TurboTax Online stores your information on secure servers.

If you are using TurboTax desktop, you have to save it manually by using the drop down menu in the upper left corner of your TurboTax screen by clicking on "File" and then and select "Save". In addition, TurboTax asks you if you want to save your return when you close the program. If you use the CD/Download, you will need to save and store your own tax return.

If you have multiple TurboTax accounts it is possible that you logged in with a different user name and password. If that was the case you would not find your tax return information that you input. This is often the case when you log in and find some of your data missing that you have already input.

You can use the following link to see if other user names are associated with your TurboTax account, click here for Accounts linked to an User ID.
