I dont have any tax due for 2024. Do i need to use 4868 to extend filing date?

No, if you owe no tax or will be due a refund, you do not have to file an extension.  The failure to file penalty is based on tax owed, so if you do not owe the penalty will be zero.

file form 4868 when you need more time to file correctly or are waiting on certain tax documents.

Otherwise, file by April 15th.
