Tax form 1040 is the tax return you file with the IRS.
It reports your income, deductions and credits. It determines if you owe federal taxes or receive a refund.
If you have selected to e-file, see step 3 of File, you need to do nothing. You should print a copy and save for your records.
If you have selected to paper file, again see step 3 of File, you will print and mail form 1040 to the IRS. You will need to include copies of tax form W2 and other documents showing tax withheld.
