@johnsoncquick  The suggestion to file an extension will not solve your problem.  An extension only extends the time you have to file your return.  It does not extend the time to pay taxes due.

You can still e-file your State return, when you go through the File section, when it asks how do you want to taxes owed, if your state allows it, you can ask for a payment plan.

Or, you can e-file your State return and when it asks how do you want to pay taxes owed, you can choose by check, this will get you through the file section to e-file your return.  Then you can go to your State's website to see what their payments options are.

One option is to request an extension.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vu4agRok68.

File anyway.  State will send you a bill which usually will also give you an option of making payments.

Each state treats this differently. To clarify this, to which state are you referring?
