It might be helpful to know that your driver's license number is actually not required to file your federal taxes, nor is it required to file your State tax return in most states. If your State issued ID or driver's license is not being accepted, you can leave the driver's license/state ID information blank, and still file your return.

In my case, a joint return without state ID for my wife. I chose to leave it blank and click continue couple of times, and it eventually let me go on with e-file. Don't know if it is going to be rejected by IRS or not.
I have turbo tax premier When when trying to e-file i get suck in the drivers license page and wont let me move foward
I would still receive my refund without my ID, I have filed it before using my state ID but I lost it, now that I renew my state ID that still in the mail, all I have with me is the customer receipt stating that I did renew or replaced my ID. This is the only time that I e-file without my ID, I did use TurboTax before but at that time I did have an ID. All I have is my U.S Passport.
Providing this info is not required to file your taxes. However, in some states, omitting this info may delay the processing of your return. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/filing-and-paying-taxes/help/why-are-you-asking-for-my-driver-s-license-or-state-id/00/26734
Re: I don't have a drivers license or an ID - how do I file electronic
It is not necessary to provide ID information to file with Turbo Tax. It is merely an option.
I'm Susan Besimi I just filed my taxes with turbo and it said I'm getting 1800 refund. I don't have a ID or driver's license Illinois will I still get my my refund
If the IRS agrees that you did not get the first 2 stimulus payments in advance then they will release the desired refund.
@Suzan7065 You should be able to e-file your federal return without having to enter a drivers license or state ID; but IL is fussy about identification and you will not be able to e-file a state of IL tax return without an ID. You will have to print, sign and mail an IL tax return.
The ID is not required but it may delay your refund. More details have been provided for you by clicking here.
I tried clicking and leaving everything blank, but it does not allow me to continue past the state i.d/driver's id.....please help.
You can try to get An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) through the IRS website, but without proper Identification, you might not be able to attain one.
You should also GET a state ID. That is usually done at a state DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) office.
Can you please clarify your question. Please provide more details and information in order for us to be able to answer your question.
If your license and ID were stolen, you would need to wait on the new one in order to file. As you would need one of them in order to file your return. @Ldyloo74
ok, so the webpage sometimes fails to show all the relevant buttons. try zooming out to see if the 'continue' button is being hidden below the visible portion of the screen.
