I don't have a 1099-INT because the payment received was from a defunct bank thru an intermediary. I have the amounts received and taxes withheld. Can I enter the $$$?

All you need to enter is the bank name or who paid you and put the amount in box 1.

Enter interest received like a 1099-Int under

Federal Taxes tab (Personal for Home & Business)

Wages & Income

Interest and Dividends

Yes.  You can still enter the interest received without a 1099-INT.  To do this you will simply take the steps to enter the income as if you had a 1099-INT.

  • Federal
  • Income
  • Show more next to Interest and Dividends
  • Start next to interest on 1099-INT
