If you are eligible the second stimulus payment can be entered on your 2020 federal tax return as a tax credit on Form 1040 Line 30.

The TurboTax program will ask about stimulus payments in the Federal Review section of the program.

To access your 2019 tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

A 2019 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

So not sending in my 2019 taxes, does that make me ineligible for the newest stimulus check that came out at the beginning of the year?

The first and second stimulus payments are an advance tax credit from the 2020 federal tax return.

If you are eligible to receive a stimulus payment based on your 2020 federal tax return it will be entered on the 2020 Form 1040 Line 30.

The TurboTax program will ask about stimulus payments in the Federal Review section of the program.

i am sorry so the stimulus check that was issued this month is a credit for 2020 taxes i will file this year? so i should still get it even though i did not file my 2019 yet, but all my previous years? i did get my 1st check last year right away.

Correct you will receive the second stimulus on your 2020 tax return.  You not filing the 2019 tax return is not relevant for this stimulus payment.

Go to this IRS website for information - https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment-frequently-asked-questions

Get My Payment will reflect the account information provided on your 2019 tax return, Non-Filer Registration, entered on Get My Payment before Dec. 22, 2020, or provided by a Federal Agency who issued benefits to you (Social Security Administration, Veteran Affairs, or Railroad Retirement Board).

Your payment information cannot be changed. If you don’t get a payment and you are eligible to receive one, it may be claimed on your 2020 tax return as the Recovery Rebate Credit.
