I didn't receive a 1099-DIV document because I made less than $10 in dividends. How can I report the small amount of earnings with no 1099-DIV document?

I use Robinhood for my investments (regretfully) and I probably made more like $2 or so dividends. I completely forgot about this account and just received dividends while I was inactive. There no clear way to report my earnings.

You can still post it to the 1099-DIV section.

To manually post a 1099-DIV

  1. Select Federal
  2. Wages & Income
  3. Scroll to Investments & Savings and
  4. select Show More,
  5. Start or Revisit next to Dividends on 1099-DIV - Okay!
  6. Time to kick off your investments!
  7. Yes, on the screen Did you receive any dividend income? then Continue.
    • If you see the screen Your investments & savings or Here's your 1099-DIV info, select.
    • Add investments or add another 1099-DIV, then Continue.

It will request payor information.  In your case you should enter Robinhood.

All of your dividends will be Ordinary Dividends.  No other entries are required.

Reminder: When you're in TurboTax, and you're not sure of something, select the (?) or Learn More next to the topic for more information.
