I did uber not sure if it is 'Rideshare' driving. but now im filing as self employed. why i need to pay 89 dollars extra?

Because uber is considered self employed and you are now filing with self employed that means you are no longer filing federal free because federal free does not support those specific forms that are only available in self employed you will need to file and to file using self employed you will need to purchase the software for $89.99 and additional state for $36.99 per state.
