I did not wish to pay turbo tax with my fed return for a fee. I'd rather pay now.

Refund Processing can be removed as long as you have not submitted your return. This FAQ will show you how to remove Refund Processing and input your credit card information. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301294
