I did not receive my taxes. It was rejected the first time, the second time approved. Why would I not have gotten my return? I got my state return right away.

I called and the representative said IRS will send me a letter asking for more information to prove my identity. But the system shows they didn't send it yet. That was in April. I can never get someone on the phone. Any idea what's going on? I am going through a divorce and last year he claimed our kids without me knowing when I filed and gave proof that they are under my custody but IRS had already given him the money.

TurboTax does not ever get any information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows what the IRS is doing with your return.   Only the IRS can tell you.  TT only tells you that the e-file was "accepted"----TurboTax never says your refund was "approved."   Only the IRS can approve  your refund.  You can wait for a letter from the IRS or you can try calling the IRS again.

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
