Thanks for your answer. Everything seemed like it would workout. However, because I'm doing 2017 taxes, I must do that from a CD/download due to being past cutoff. Therefore, my .tax file for 2016 is saved in the online version, which wasn't saved to my computer. I was only sent the pdf. In order to get the .tax file for 2016, I must purchase a PLUS subscription, which Im willing to do because it is needed as input for the CD/download for 2017 SE version. Unfortunately, the 2018 online version will not allow me to purchase PLUS, unless I purchase 2018. I tried doing the free version if 2018, but now I'm stuck and it will not allow me to back out of free 2018, nor will it allow me to purchase PLUS.. This is crazy because none of this was required for the 2017 business, probably because I didn't do it online. Which is the reason that I don't want to do the online version for 2018. I only tried to follow the advice and sign up for the free version in order to purchase PLUS and gain access to my 2016 and 2017 .tax files. It's been such a huge hassle. Why couldn't I simply purchase the 2018 CD/ download and be given access to my .tax for 2016 and 2017, so that I can move forward. I'm willing to but the PLUS access, but this should have been automatically stored or offered as an option to download. They are literally forcing me to purchase the 2018 online version which I don't want at all, especially to with all these problems. :(
Is Turbotax Home and Business CD Download the same as Self-employed." I'm using the business software for an s-corp to file an 1120S for 2018 and I need to transfer my desktop files to the online version because I don't want to use the CD which causes you to pay upfront. Does anyone know if it's possible to transfer business data (turbotax .tax file) from an 1120S to Turbotax Self-employed online? I tried to start the online account and I'm being asked if the business is married, single, etc. I need to know if this is the right way to go to prepare the business taxes online please

@videocom- You are confusing products.
TurboTax CD/download Home and Business and online Self Employed are about the same. They both support Schedule C for self-employed persons. They do NOT support the 1120 S corp. forms - that is a totally different product (TurboTax Business) that is for corporations, estates and trusts and is ONLY available as a CD/download for Windows. (There is no online version that supports S-corps.).
