I could not claim my grandkids on my taxes. I need them on my stimulus check. I am the one paying the sitter while I go to work. How can I get them on mine?

If you cannot claim the children as dependents on your tax return, you are not eligible to receive the stimulus payment for them.  Paying for a babysitter does not qualify you to claim the children as dependents or for the stimulus.

The stimulus payments will be based on tax returns that have been filed.  The return that shows your grandchildren as dependents will receive the stimulus payment for them.
