I completed the payment for a TurboTax product However, the payment was not processed in the desktop, where I am still prompted to pay. How can I avoid paying twice?

Did you pay for TurboTax Online and wish to complete your return in a desktop product? If so, you will need to contact TurboTax Support to assist. We cannot process refunds in this forum.
Is there a way I can contact TurboTax without speaking to an AI chatbot or calling? I am based in Europe so I would prefer to avoid paying overseas call fees.

If you have X (Twitter) or Facebook you can contact a Support agent directly with messaging there.
