I chose the deluxe version because your site said it was free for members of the US armed forces. Now it's trying to charge me for filing. Why is this?

You are correct that you get the Deluxe program for free when you have entered a Military W-2.

However, you still have to pay the Efile fee.

See if you qualify for the Free File Program; this files both Federal and State returns for free; no extra charges.
