I checked the pdf generated by TurboTax for my 2017 taxes, form 1040 is incorrect. Line 34 shows "Reserved for future use" instead of "Tuition and fees". Should I file?

The IRS is not ready to accept the e-filing for Form 8917 (tuition and fees deduction) yet. See below for a detailed answer and sign up to get updates on the situation.

The tuition and fees deduction had expired and was not included in 2017 tax returns. The recent  "Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018" extended this deduction for 2017, so it will be reinstated.
