I cannot select a turbotax product and the help system will not direct me without having selected a product. How do I get help?

I follow the guiding questions that end in recommending Live Assisted but when I click "Start for free" I only get a message that says "Oops, something went wrong. Please try again." When I tried to call for support, the automated system reports that I need to select a product before I can get help. What now?

Check to make sure you have a good, strong internet connection. If you are using a vpn, you might need to temporarily disconnect it. Same with anti-virus software. 

 

Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies if you are using TurboTax Online, and reopen TurboTax.  You can also try a different browser.

 

Also, make sure you have ran all updates.
