I cannot get an employer to furnish my w2 for taxes,tried to notify the IRS at their 1 800 number, can't get thru to talk to anyone. Any suggestions? Thanks !

were you being paid as an employee or independent contractor? only employees get w-2's. IC's should get a 1099-NEC if paid more than $600.  

if you believe you were paid as an employee file form 4852 as a substitute for the w-2. otherwise, as an IC you would file schedule C.
