I cannot complete filing my taxes because "STDREF IS ESTIMATED" and "ITEMREF IS ESTIMATED" . This looks like a software bug. How can I clear it?

My only options are to fix federal return, which I cannot, or File by Mail

If you are using a desktop version of TurboTax and these messages are coming up during the Final Review, be sure that the value entered in the field is accurate.  Then, click on the red highlighted field in the form shown on the page with the error.  Next, go to Edit > Unmark Estimated from the menu at the top of the screen.  Repeat for each error.

I have the exact same problem. Plus there are no fields highlighted so the answer is not applicable. Help!

Found a work-around for my situation.  The "Federal Review" in the desktop version was stuck with the error messages saying "Stdref is estimated" and "Itmref is estimated" with both pointing to the same federal "Tax Summary" page.  There were three items in the state return marked as estimates.  Removing those state estimates cured the Federal Review issues with the federal "Tax Summary".
