I can't file Hawaii State Tax

I can't e-file my taxes because there is an error in my Hawaii state taxes. The instructions say to leave it blank if the number is less than 12 and since my number only has 9 digits I leave it blank, but I still get an error code and can't move forward without fixing this error.

Par chance, is this your Hawaii Tax ID number you're talking about? It "sounds" like you're trying to use a pre-2017 number.  For the correct type of number and the format, see https://tax.hawaii.gov/geninfo/a2_b2_9tsm2/
