I bought turbotax from intuit and used my account to activate it. then why do i have to register?

You just need an Intuit account and your license code.

I always buy the Desktop program and skip the registration screen.  But this year I finally filled it out so it won't ask me every time I open the program.  I don't know why it wants you to register.  I think it says on the screen.
