I arrived in US with J2 visa in Sept 2017. In March 2018, I got my EAD and started working. I have W2 and also worked as Postmates with 1099-MISC. How do i file taxes?

If you are still on a J2 visa and your spouse is a nonresident, you are a nonresident.  If this is the case, you need to file a nonresident tax return.

TurboTax does not support nonresident returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

Visit the TurboTax/Sprintax site for more info or to get started.

I have tried SprintTax however they do not have Schedule C to allow me to offset expenses for my independent contractor job. Any other options available?

Yes, you can print Schedule C and Schedule SE from the IRS website and complete by hand.  You will need to transfer the amounts to your Sprintax return and print your nonresident return and include your Sch C and Schedule SE.

Or you can find a tax preparer that is familiar with nonresident returns to prepare your 2018 taxes.
