I am wondering why there are no federal taxes being withheld from my paycheck. I have 2 dependents and did the w4 as i always have. Did something change?

Filing head of household. Entered 4,000 as it said for 2 dependents.

The new W-4 form is designed to get your return as close to zero as possible.   So at your income level and pay periods using the info you put on the W-4 form of HOH and 2 kids under 17  there doesn't need to be any taxes withheld.  Now if you want to have more withheld then switch to SINGLE  instead of HOH  and/or remove a child or 2 off the W-4 form.  But all this will do is give the IRS more of your money to give back to you on the tax return ...  so when do you want your money ?  Now or later ?

This makes sense! I'd like my money now, so I will leave it. I've been panicking like crazy and couldn't find an answer. Thank you so much!
