I am told that the Schedule K-1 is not ready. I have no K-1 income. I would like to preview the tax forms but not having this form is preventing me. Why am I blocked?

I used to be a member of a partnership, but it has dissolved years ago. This old partnership is apparently why the form is being presented. I did not file a K-1 last year. I want to see a preview of the tax documents for other reasons, but I am prevented from doing so because this form is apparently not ready. Since I don't need the form, I don't see why I can't get a pdf for preview.

I am not sure why you are blocked.  But we can fix it.

  • Open up your program if you have not already done so.
  • At the right upper corner, select Forms
  • To your left, you would see a list of all the tax forms and worksheets, scroll down and select Schedule K-1.
  • While Schedule K-1 appears, at the bottom of the screen, select Delete Form.

I have the same problem as hubenyfrank but I'm using the online version. Is there something I can do?

I have a similar problem. I *DO* have K-1 loss, but TurboTax won't let me complete my return because K-1 is "not available until 2/14/2019" But it *IS* available on irs.gov and it HAS been available for WEEKS! I want to file my return NOW! DO I need to go elsewhere?

I am having this same issue. I would love to not have to fill this out all over again elsewhere. but waiting is going to cost me more. I will be seeking other options starting tomorrow since the form was to be available today (2/14/2019)

It says k1 is available today 2/14/19 but I’m still getting the message the forms aren’t ready. ???

Same. Actually I’ve had mine ready to file since 2/1. The original date shown for the form to be available was 2/8. Then that same screen showed 2/14 starting on the 9th. Now “ready soon”. I called customer service, and she explained that while the form is available on irs.gov, Intuit does not have their license for the form yet for whatever reason. I’ll file using other software and just get a refund for what I paid.
