I am self employed and I don't see where I can enter deductions that I have normally taken.

Follow the interview ... after you enter income you can enter expenses ... look down the list and click on the LESS COMMON expenses to open up the list further.  If you do not see a category that fits you can make your own at the end. 

Need some more information. Need a list of the deductions you are trying to take.
