I am ready to file my taxes can I file can I get a recovery rebate per the government website since am not get a second direct deposit?

You should wait a little bit before you file your taxes.  The IRS is not even going to start accepting returns until the middle of Jan or later.  

 

On your 2020 return, you will be asked about the stimulus money.

 

After the Other Tax Situations section of the 2020 TurboTax program you will be asked about the stimulus payment received or not received in 2020.

 

After you asked about the stimulus payment & you qualify,  you will get the Recovery Rebate Credit (stimulus) on the 2020 federal tax return, Form 1040 Line 30.

It only covers the first Stimulus Check not the second.

Currently the IRS' efiling season has not yet begun.  The software is being updated to adjust for this, and will be adjusted before e-filing season is open.
