I am not getting a SAVE option for my return, only print option

Hi TT community:

This is first year using TT Mac version for 2024, and there is no save option when I try to download and save different versions of my return.  Just PRINT.   In my prior experience using Windows versions of TT, I was always given options of which versions to both save or print , eg, tax return only; tax return and key worksheets; tax return and all worksheets

I can only see that I can PRINT these different options, but not download and save.  There is no way I would want to attempt to print 80-100 pages of just the return and then manually scan them to my computer.

I was able to see in the File Menu a "save to pdf " option which I did and it defaults to the complete return which is tax return and all the worksheets, over 150 pages.  I need to save the shorter versions.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What do you mean "download"?    Sounds like you are using the Desktop program on you Mac.   To save on Mac go up to the very top Apple menu bar,  File-Save or File-Duplicate.    Or Command S.

Basically I was unable to dwonload and save the shorter filing copy of my return or version of return with key attachments only.  Only download option was for the full return with all attachments, which is an big document and is a limitation compared to what I was able to do with my Turbotax desktop windows version in the past.  This is the first time I am using Mac version since I am no longer using Windows machines.

Spoke to TT support and they acknowledged that they are NOT able to address the TT desktop Mac problem with downloading other tax return versions.  TT says they have. really tried but have no solution to this problem and may not have a solution  for future Mac desktop versions either.

Said that it would be better to try Turbo tax live next year, but I have privacy concerns with my data being secured by Intuit, not that it is any more secure than anything else these days....

Oh well
