I am marriedbut have been seperated for f

for over a year should i have put Marie's but filing separate instead of head of household

If you have lived apart from your spouse for over a year and you have a qualifying child, then you may qualify to file as head of household.

If you have lived apart from your spouse for over a year and you do not have a qualifying child, then you qualify to file as married filing separately or married filing jointly (if spouse agrees).
