There is not a trial version. You may be able go to eBay or Craigslist and buy an older version and use that to experiment with the software. Intuit only supports the last three years so buy 2020, 2021, or 2022 so it will update properly. I do not know if it would require a license to install and if that license is transferable. Good luck if you try that route.
