I am fairly certain I do not meet the threshold to require filing taxes. Is there any way to verify this?

Sometimes "not meeting the threshold" to be required to file does not mean you should not file.  Even if you did not earn enough to be required to file a tax return, if you had tax withheld from your income you could file to seek a refund.
