If you are self employed/sole proprietor etc.  you cannot deduct your own salary or any personal withdrawals you make from your business or expense your own time.  As a sole proprietor, you are not an employee of the business.   The business is a disregarded entity and the Net Profit or Loss is your personal income or expense.

If you paid yourself you would have to claim it as your income again and it would be a wash.  And who can determine how much your time is worth?  Then Anyone could put down any amount say like 1,000 per hour.  You can only expense what you actually paid out of pocket.

You can't.  The value of your own labor is not deductible.

Thanks. Makes sense when you put it that way. At least I can write off the supplies and materials used to fix it.
