I am 23 years old and work in Cincinnati. Do I have to file a CCA or a RITA? I'm fairly familiar with accounting and taxes yet these always puzzled me.

That is going to depend on where exactly you live and/or work in the Cincinnati area.   Do you mean you literally live/work within city limits of Cincinnati----or are you in a suburb?   You have to be clear on where you live as to whether you are in a RITA  or other type of local taxing area in Ohio.  It is also possible to work in one kind and live in another, and to need to take care of the local tax in each one.

TurboTax Ohio state software supports all CCA and RITA returns, close to 300 cities and municipalities in all. Visit each agency's website for a complete listing of CCA member communities and the RITA list. RITA returns must be printed and mailed, even if your Ohio return is e-filed.

@18hiltc In addition to CCA and RITA there are certain cities and towns in the Cincinnati area that have their own local tax.....so tell us specifically where you are. City of Cincinnati has a tax.    And look on your W-2 to see if local tax is being withheld from your pay----check boxes 18, 19 and 20.
