I accidentally upgraded to self employed version but I want to use 29.99 version. How do I go back to using prior version?

There are only options to upgrade. If you would like to back to a previous version of Turbo Tax or Free Edition, you would have to clear and start over.  Please see our Turbo Tax FAQ, on how to clear and start over. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4248526

Assuming you have not already paid for Turbo Tax, you have two options if you would like to downgrade your TurboTax Edition.

First, you can clear your input and start over.  You will only want to do this if you have not already entered a lot of tax information into the program because when you use this feature you lose any previous input.  See below for directions.

Second, if you have input a lot of tax information already, you may want to click here and contact Turbo Tax support.  Depending on the circumstances, they may be able to assist you in changing the Turbo Tax version while retaining the information you have already input.

Here are the steps for the clear and start over function if you choose that option:

1)      Open your tax return

2)      In the top right, find My Account and click on the drop down arrow next to it

3)      Choose Clear and Start Over
