How would I file my 2018 taxes if my spouse did not work at all

Married filing joint. There is absolutely no requirement for both of you to have worked.

A spouse is never a dependent.  You just file a Joint return.

You would want to file a Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income.  You will receive the highest Standard Deduction of $24,000 if under age 65.
