How would I determine the cost of the business portion of tax return software for TurboTax Self-Employed?

Under the Business Income and Expenses section > Other Common Business Expenses > Miscellaneous, the "See More Examples" window says you can deduct "Tax return software (business portion)". How would we determine the cost of the business portion of TurboTax Self-Employed?

Take the cost of the version you would use if you did not have a business and deduct the cost from the Self-Employed version. The difference is what you would enter as the business portion.

For example: If you could use the Deluxe version and the Deluxe version costs $35 and the Self-Employed version costs $90, the difference is $55. The $55 would be the business portion. View Online products
