How to import the full 1099int?

There are 5 CD accounts in one 1099INT form. TurboTax only proceeded 2. How can I add the rest 3? Thanks!

keep it simple a 1099-int is really not worth the effort to import if there are only one or two lines with amounts. you only need the payer's name and the total amount for each line

You should enter the 3 that are not included in the original import manually.  If they are all from the same bank you can add them together and enter them as 1 item.  Follow these steps:

  1. Identify the specific accounts that are not showing as part of your interest income.
  2. If you are not already at the interest income entry area, click on Wages & Income, then scroll to Investments and savings, and click on +add investments
  3. Click Continue
  4. Click Enter a different way
  5. Click in the box for interest and then click continue at the bottom
  6. Click on Type it in myself
  7. Enter the bank name, who the 1099-INT belongs to, and the interest amount in Box 1 for the interest NOT previously imported.
  8. Click Continue
  9. The next screen is normally none of these apply but make sure to read if there is a situation listed that applies to you.
  10. Click continue
  11. You will see your Investments and Savings summary.  Make sure the interest you entered plus the interest that was previously reported agrees with the total interest on the 1099-INT
  12. If all is good click confirm at the bottom and you should return to the Wages & income summary page for all entered income.

2 choices:

1)  Enter them manually, One at a time.

...OR...what I do:

2)  Delete one that imported and edit/report the grand total $$ from that bank on the one remaining 1099-INT.

____________

A couple financial institutions have set up their import files in such a way, that only one or two actually will import.  Lots of finger pointing as to who is responsible, but all we mere mortals can do is put in the correct amounts ourselves.

I have the same situation for ALLY bank...I just report a total 1099-INT from that bank (they actually have a final 1099-INT that has the total amount...but the import never gets that far)
