How to Handle Donations Received for a NonProfit Through a Personal Account

I helped launch a nonprofit. When we first started, we didn't have a corporation or a bank account, but we started getting a ton of donations through our website as soon as we announced the idea.

To enable the website donation form, I plugged my SSN into Stripe.

We launched in January, and things were moving so quickly that it took our legal team until December to finally file the corporation paperwork. Then it took them a few more months to finally set up a bank account, at which point I transferred over all the donations raised.

Stripe reported all the donations to the IRS on my SSN. What form would I use to tell the IRS that the donations don't belong to me, but rather to the nonprofit?

did you also file form 1023 or 1024-A with the IRS to approve tax exempt status?
