How to proceed - TurboTax line C, schedule C via Smart Check continues to require a business name although it should remain blank as there is no difference Proprietor's and business names?

At the very first page of your "Business Income and Expenses" section, the first question just below the title states two options for what your business name is. If you've accidentally chosen option 2 (which is stating that your business name is different than your own name) then the system will continue to require you to enter a name. Go back and make sure that you've made the correct selection there. That should resolve this issue for you.
