How to file 1099B on Joint Account

I have a joint brokerage account with my fiancée. On the 1099B he is the only one listed under Account Owner and Recipients SS#

Do we both have to file or does he since since the 1099B , has his name under Account holder with just his SS#?   We have had it for a few years and I have never filed the 1099B and have not had an issue with it but I want to make sure it's just not going unnoticed by the IRS and it'll come back and haunt us. He's always filed it with his taxes.

The IRS will be looking for the person whose name and Social Security number are on the 1099-B to file the tax return.  In this case it would be him.  There are ways to divert some of that to you, but it can be complicated.
