How should I go about filing when I have 2 W2s for the same locality? I moved to another county within it won't let me add it with the code being the same.

I live in Ohio if that makes any difference. I tried adding a locality and doing it on a separate W2 neither option worked and it won't let me file.

You can add the local taxes together and make one entry. The state will have a copy of your W-2 forms and the taxes paid in as reported on them. As long as the taxes reported on your tax return for the locality matches the total paid in as reported on your W-2 forms, the taxing authority will be able to match them as the totals will agree.

If the EIN is the same and you work in more than 1 state or city, sometimes they will give you another W2 with the extra state information on it and the top part the same or not filled in. If this is the case, enter 1 W-2 but include both state and local taxes on it. It will let you type in more than one line for boxes 15-20. Don’t add the boxes together.
