How should I file if I l left the Navy mid-November?

I checked the box that said I left the Navy in 2022, but on the review page it says I served in the Armed Forces. I don't want to be caught off guard, and fined for leaving the Military before the end of the year.

Not sure why you think you could be fined for leaving the Navy.   If you were active duty military during 2022 it is okay to say so on your tax return.  There is not a tax law that says you had to be active duty for the entire calendar year.   You entered your W-2 for the pay you received while in the Navy---and that is fine.  Thank you for serving!

If you served in the Navy at any time of the year, you can indicate it in TurboTax- it is for preparing the return, it is not reported to the IRS or the state.
