How much did you earn from working (wages, salaries, tips, etc.) in 2019? Is this the same number as my AGI?

No it is not the same as your AGI.  Where are you seeing that question?  What are you trying to do?  We cannot see your screen or your tax return.

Are you talking about the question on the FAFSA that asks "How much did you earn from working?" It does not say "wages, salaries, tips, etc." The explanation above the question on the FAFSA tells you exactly what to include: "Form 1040—line 1 + Schedule 1—lines 12 + 18 + Schedule K-1 (IRS Form 1065)—Box 14 (Code A)."

If I didn't filed a Schedule 1 or Schedule K, should I just put the number in form 1040-line 1?

That's right. If you don't have those schedules in your tax return, you don't add anything for them.

You can get these numbers from your Form 1040. If you have not paid for your return, TurboTax let's you preview your form.

  • Click Tax Tools in the left column
  • Click Tools below that
  • In the center column, select View Tax Summary
  • In the left column click Preview my 1040
  • You will see Federal 1040
  • When you are done, click Back in the left column

Line 1 is your wages from your W-2s. Schedule 1 line 3 is self-employment income (usually 1099-NEC), line 6 is farm income. Schedule K-1 is partnership and S-corporation income. If you have a K-1 you probably have not received that form yet.
