How many years do you keep a customers tax filing records?

You can access the returns filed using TurboTax Online for 7 years. If you filed your tax return using the TurboTax CD/download software, those would be stored locally on your computer. TurboTax doesn't store returns filed using the CD/Download software.

 These instructions won't work on returns filed in the TurboTax CD or download software. Those are stored locallyon your computer. Find your return on  Windows  or  Mac .

TurboTax online keeps records for 9 years, not 7.
