How long does my parents need to physically live with me So I can claim them as my dependents?

Do I get a higher tax deduction if I claim two parents instead of one?

They are both unemployed and I support them financially for food, but they live in another state for 8 months.

Just food? Who paid for their housing, utilities, transportation, etc?
