How does the number in the corner - refund - calculated? I entered income but not all taxes paid nor deductions?

The refund meter just goes off what you've already entered.

Don't rely on that number till you have everything entered that you have received or paid out during 2017.

Thank you.  TT did not ask me for all income from last year and this what caused the discrepancy.  Had to go and specifically searched for Social Security..
