I called and turbotax rep told me its because my son wasnt at least 6 months in the year 2020. However i did my research after i filed and found out as long as child born prior to dec 31st 2020 they qualified so now ill have to amend but need to know how i file that form when this program refused to give it to me.
Yes, that is correct, a child born in the tax year is considered as having lived with you all year.
When you work on the Amended return, please go back to the "Personal Info" section and click Edit.
Scroll down to the child's name and click Edit.
Answer the interview questions and select "The Whole Year" as time living in your home.

Thanks I figured it out though no amended needed. The IRS website explained it was cause my daughter turned 17 in November which counted for the 2020 year so technically she wasn't supposed to apparently count for the stimulus so she sorta took the place of my new born basically. Apparently any child 17 in the year 2020 wasn't supposed to be a qualifier for the 1st two stimuluses but some of them slipped thru the cracks and they didn't penalize anyone for it though. Just so happened i also had a newborn this year so all she did was get the money i would have got for him apparently. Just turbotax rep must not have known how that works since he gave me the other speech about it being due to him not being at least 6 months in 2020 lol.
