Are you using the 2023 Desktop installed program?  Sorry you can not import 1099s for prior years.

The 2023 tax season is over, that's why you can no longer import 2023 1099s.

Reply back is you want more options available to avoid typing in many transaction details manually.

Sorry---it is too late to import 2023 data from financial institutions.  They take that information down from import availability when the tax season ends.  And it is too soon to import 2024 data.    You can, however, get your 2023 1099's or information from the financial institutions and enter the information by keying it in if you are still trying to work on a 2023 return.   Contact them or use their web sites to get your information.

@Bang4dabuck And....to make sure that you know this---you will not be able to e-file a 2023 return.  You will need to print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in.   Since your return is very late, there will not be a 2023 AGI in the system, so you will need to use "zero" as your AGI if/when you attempt to e-file 2024.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

@Bang4dabuck "....they took the money?"    It is not TurboTax that removed financial data from availability to import into tax software---it was the financial institutions like Vanguard, Schwab, etc.    They stop providing it for import when the tax season ends.  And that was in mid-October.  Some of them them remove it even earlier--like during the summer.   It would not be any different if you used H & R Block, etc----you would not be able to import data in December.   Remember that  going forward and for 2024, whatever software you use...import your data before the filing deadline.  If you do not do that you will have only yourself to blame.
