How do you change a filing status from Married Filing Jointly to Single? I see the 'Personal Information' in the toolbar but that's it. I have no option to edit.

All I see is the screen to enter spouse information which is not what I need.  I'm stuck on this screen because Turbotax thinks I'm married filing jointly.

Are you using an online version of the CD/Download desktop version?

Yes, I am using the CD desktop version. Thanks for your answer below.  My problem, however, is that I can't get to the Edit button to perform the necessary steps to change the filing status. I'm stuck on the 'Spouse Info' screen. If I could just get to the Filing Status Selection screen, that would be so helpful.

But were you married as of 12/31/2018?

This is actually for my Dad who died in August, 2018. My Mom passed away several years ago.

You can change your filing status in the Personal Information section by clicking the "Edit" button next to your name. Then, click "Continue" on the next screen. On the next screen click the option that applies under "Do Any of These Apply to you?" and click "Continue".  You'll then see the area where you can select a different filing status.
