Currently, TurboTax does not support Form 1040-SR.
Tax calculations for Form 1040 and 1040-SR are identical. See Everything to Know About the 1040-SR Form for Filing Seniors
Since these forms are virtually identical in function, the main reason to use Form 1040-SR is if you're filling out your tax return by hand rather than online. Form 1040-SR has larger type and larger boxes to write numbers in, making it slightly easier for seniors to read and fill out.
See IRS forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products
A 1040 and 1040SR are the same form. Only the IRS paper 1040SR is larger print for seniors over age 65. It only matters for paper filers.
And you do not pick the form to use. You just enter all your personal info, income and deduction into Turbo Tax and it fills out the forms for you.
If you are 65 or older you automatically get the 1040SR. It is the same as the regular 1040 just larger type so it is on 3 pages instead of 2. When you efile the form doesn’t get sent just the data. It only shows up if you download or print your return.
